Glazed Maple Apple Pie is the perfect fall dessert. Get a double dose of maple with your apples; in the filling and in the glaze. The pretty maple leaf border is a special finishing touch.

– apples – granulated sugar – cinnamon – real maple syrup  – salt – cornstarch – egg white – confectioner’s sugar – Pie dough

Ingredients

Toss the apples with maple syrup &  sugar. Drain the apples, save the juice.

Cook the juice with cornstarch then toss the thickened juice with the apples.

Pour the apples into the pie shell. Cut a steam vent with a maple leaf cutter if you have one.

Cut maples leaves to make a pretty border or crimp the border.

Combine the maple syrup and powdered sugar to make a glaze. Glaze the warm pie, allowing excess glaze to drip into the vent in the center.
