Hot Cross Buns are traditionally served on Good Friday. You'll love the warm and fragrant combination of spices and dried fruit in this recipe. Finish the pretty buns with an icing cross on top.

–Milk –Butter –Sugar  –Egg  –All purpose flour  –Yeast –Salt –Cinnamon –Nutmeg –Cloves –Raisins  –Dried dates  –Confectioner sugar

Ingredients

Scald the milk, melt the butter, whisk the dry ingredients. Add the yeast to the wet ingredients.

Add half the flour & fruit. Knead until the dough clings to the hook and clears the sides of the bowl.

Brush the buns with butter and set aside to rise. Cut a cross in each bun and bake.

As soon as the buns come out of the oven brush them 2x with milk glaze. Pipe a cross on each bun.
