Classic  Puff Pastry

Classic Puff Pastry is the queen of all doughs. The process does take some time, but if you can use a rolling pin, you can make this essential recipe.

– flour – water  – white vinegar – salt – unsalted butter


Work a little butter into the flour, then add the water. Knead briefly and chill.

Make the butter packet and chill.

Encase the butter into the dough. Roll  the dough to a long rectangle.

Roll and fold the dough 6 times.

 Make dimples in the dough to keep track of the "turns". The dough can be used now or frozen for later.
