Homemade Chocolate Marshmallows

Homemade Chocolate Marshmallows are billowy soft & melt into a lovely gooey mess when dunked hot chocolate. Dip them in melted chocolate and crushed candy canes for a holiday treat.

–unflavored gelatin powder  –water  –granulated sugar  –cocoa powder –corn syrup –salt –vanilla extract –egg whites –confectioner sugar –chocolate (optional) –crushed candy canes (optional)

Ingredients

Oil the pan, line with parchment paper then oil the paper. Bloom the gelatin in a mixing bowl.

Boil the cocoa syrup to 240°F. Pour the syrup over the gelatin &    whisk until it's doubled in volume.

Whip the whites. Add the syrup & whisk to combine. Pour into the pan to set overnight.

Sprinkle the marshmallows with cocoa-sugar and cut into squares.

Toss the marshmallows in cocoa-sugar. Dip them into melted chocolate & crushed candy canes.
