Cheese Scones

Baking Sense

Savory buttermilk scones are brimming with pockets of melty Irish cheddar cheese & fragrant fresh scallions.

–Eggs –Buttermilk  –All purpose flour  –Baking powder –Salt –Sugar –Butter  –Cheddar Cheese –Scallions

Ingredients

-Whisk together the dry ingredients. -Cut in the butter then add the  cheddar and scallions.

–Lightly toss the ingredients. –Whisk the eggs into the buttermilk      & add it to the dry ingredients. –Toss until mostly combined. Don’t    overmix.

– Knead a few times to bring the    dough together. – Pat the dough with floured hands    until it’s about 1″ thick. – Use a 3″ biscuit cutter to cut    rounds.

– Brush the scones with buttermilk    and sprinkle with flakey salt.  – Bake!
